Charlotte Sundel

Co-Director

Charlotte Sundel is a junior from Annapolis, Maryland majoring in Finance and Sustainable Business in the Kelley Honors program. She is excited to be Co-Director of the IU Funding Board, and is also involved in 180 Degrees Consulting, Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity, and Alpha Omicron Pi. 

Brett Roberts

Co-Director

Brett Roberts is a junior studying Law and Public Policy in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA). He is enrolled in the Accelerated Master's Program in SPEA which will allow him to receive his Bachelor of Science and Master of Public Affairs in just 5 years. A native Hoosier, Brett is interested in rural and community development specifically as it pertains to the state of Indiana and its evolving economy. After graduation, he hopes to continue in his passion for public service in state government.

Ru Lee Kim

Board Member

Ru Lee Kim is a senior studying International Studies and Political Science and is interested in international relations and political theory. Ru has interned at the United States Department of State twice- once as a virtual intern and the other as an economic officer intern - in Seoul, South Korea. Ru has been on the board for three semesters and has served as one of the co - directors for IU Funding Board. After graduation, Ru plans to work for a corporate company or pursue a PhD program in Political Science.

Mona Sehgal

Board Member

Mona is a Senior from Valparaiso, Indiana, studying Finance and Technology Management. Apart from IU Funding Board, Mona founded the Finance Diversity Program, an organization that is designed to increase the diversity of high-potential students pursuing a career in finance. Mona is an advocate for financial empowerment and student voice on campus. She is also involved with the Investment Banking Workshop, TEDx IU, and Alpha Kappa Psi, a professional business fraternity. During her free time, Mona enjoys traveling and exploring Bloomington.

Catherine Xu

Board Member

Catherine Xu is a senior Herman B Wells Scholar from West Lafayette, IN, majoring in Cognitive Science. She has served on IU Funding Board since fall of her freshman year and has really loved seeing the evolution of student organizations on campus in semesters since. Aside from Funding Board, her current involvement at IU includes working in the Adaptive Behavior Cognition Lab, advocating for the use of evidence-based policy with the Concerned Scientists @ IU, and serving on the Board of Aeons. She also loves dancing, watercolor painting, and cooking/eating great food with her roommates. 

Brandon Jonas

Board Member

Brandon Jonas is a Finance major at the Kelley School of Business. He has been a member of the Funding Board since his Sophomore year. Brandon also is a member of the Investment Banking Workshop at Kelley.

Naomi Farahan

Board Member

Naomi Farahan is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences with majors in Journalism and Jewish Studies. Last summer, she had a marketing internship in London at a non-profit organization focused on food security. She also studied abroad in Rome in the fall. After college, she hopes to attend law school. Her dream is to practice media and First Amendment law.

Omeed Malek

Board Member

Omeed Malek is a senior at Indiana University studying News Media and Marketing with a minor in Spanish language studies. Besides drawing surrealistic portraits and climbing tall trees in his free time, he hopes to eventually combine his interests in technology trends and news media to create a media company.

Pranathi Dandu

Board Member

Pranathi Dandu is a senior studying Informatics with a specialization in Business and a minor in Human Centered Computing. She grew up in grew up in Sunny Orange County, California and lived there for 13 years, and then moved to Hyderabad, India, where she completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. Pranathi loves playing basketball and discovering new music in her free time. She will be interning at EY in Los Angeles this upcoming summer, and she is super excited to be a part of her second semester on the Indiana University Funding Board.

John Nickolaou

Board Member

John Nickolaou is a sophomore from Battle Creek, Michigan studying Accounting and Finance in the Kelley School of Business Honors Program. This is John's first semester on the board, and he is involved in several organizations including Alpha Kappa Psi, The Endowment Consulting and Management Group, and the Financial Services Club. John enjoys time spent with friends, the outdoors, and good films.

Olivia Owens

Board Member

Olivia is a sophomore from Westfield, Indiana and pursuing a double major in International Relations and Central Eurasian studies with a certificate in the Turkish language and potentially a minor in Journalism. She aims to achieve a high level of fluency with the Turkish language along with learning in depth about its geopolitical power—both in the past and future. Her hope is to become well versed in Central Eurasian cultures and history so that she may take that knowledge and use it not only in the professional world but for travel and exploration as well. While she is still in the midst of discovering state and non-state career pathways for herself after graduation, she is leaning towards doing research for a political think tank, analyst department, research center, or newspaper. Olivia has a deep love of traveling, strong coffee, reading, and theatre.

Paul Ma

Board Member

Paul Ma is a sophomore from China studying Finance and Mathematics. He likes basketball, skydiving and stock trading. He's also involved with United Way, RHA and Undergrad trading Club in IU. His career goal is to be a quantitative analyst. 

Emma Norris

Board Member

Emma Norris is a sophomore studying International Studies with a thematic concentration in International Law and Human Rights. She is also pursuing a minor in Spanish and looks forward to studying abroad in Alcalá de Henares, Spain this summer. In her free time, Emma enjoys volunteering for the Middle Way House and working with UndocuHoosiers Bloomington to promote positive social change and the maintenance of human rights. After graduation, Emma plans on pursuing a law degree. 

Mahak Jain

Board Member

Mahak is currently a sophomore studying Informatics with a cognate in Cybersecurity. When her nose isn’t stuck in a textbook, Mahak enjoys going on long runs, baking (she's only caused a kitchen fire twice so far), and reading any and every book she can get her hands on. Aside from IUFB, Mahak serves as the Executive of Social Justice for IU's Indian Student Association, an Undergraduate Instructor for INFO-Y100, and as a peer mentor for freshmen just starting off in SICE. This is her first year on IU's Funding Board and she is looking forward to making it a memorable one!
